Make the railgun for the marine instead of exo
I think the railgun needs to be on a marine but he cannot use the jetpack while holding the weapon. The gun could also be reused by others when killed. I feel like the marines needs to have this valuable weapon to be reused to counter fades properly

Why not just counter the Fades with the railgun exo? The Fade isn't exactly cheap; it costs as much as the railgun exo.

Better yet, counter the Fade with the shotgun, that weapon is any Fade's nightmare.
They should bring back the original LV 3 weapon from NS1 for marines.

The heavy machine gun.
i agree BUT only if Jetpacks and bunny hopping is nerfed.

Shotguns.
Why do you need to be close to medium range to counter fades with such great mobility with a shotgun? The problem with rail exos is that the HUD makes it really hard to aim those fades who blink in the air

You're forgetting that fades have to be literally right next to you to do any damage,,,
Better idea : why not remove the railgun?

But I love my rail exos! Give me a shotgun marine and a wielder guy to cover my ass, and we are good to go to get some arcs into position.

Meh. Some guys really use the Railgun well, but they're too few. A marine with a jetpack and a shotgun is cheaper and more useful than a railgun. Exos are like tanks : big fat armor + much much DPS. They're here late in the game, when there's most likely a lot of Onos and a lot of alien structures. They need to deal a lot of DPS to take down these stuff, and be able to "tank" damage too. Basically they're here to resist to Onos. Railguns are just effective against lesser and medium lifeforms (which imeans in mid-game). Railguns can't do ♥♥♥♥ against Onos. They're useless.
The counter to fades is jetpacks and shotguns. If you want them to consider this option, go to the Uknown Worlds Forum for Ideas and Suggestions.

Like onos is s---t against jetshoter. Exo with rail and.... nano shield i gues it's called. Tanks onos runins and guard marines from lerk/fades (oneshots skulks too btw). Problem is - good rail is like good fade, rare and need teamwork to be of real use. Even more teamwork cause fade must work with team but team must work with rail exo.

Since when are exos tanks? If you know how to you can solo an exo with a skul, they die pretty quickly to. But if you go solo with an exo you are asking for it.
Since it can't run away and just got targeted by everyone, so (if commander acts quickly) he gets his nanoshield, blowtorch in a back and others rins around focusing aliens.
If one soloes Exo with skulk, it's more of matchmaking problem (if teamplay is present - exo won't be alone... and nonexo too).
You can easily solo fade with rifle and pistol same way...
