Player count?
I am thinking of picking up this game, however I haven't heard much about it lately so I'm just wondering if a good amount of people still play it?

It's not the highest it's ever been, but it's still a good number.

Note: I would recommend reading the NS2 Wiki[wiki.unknownworlds.com] and watching NS2 Tutorials to know if the game is for you.

Plenty of servers to play on and enough players to fill them, can't ask for much more than that. :)

Thank you! I'll pick it up soon enough after I finish my new PC :D

West Coast isn't bad. Ranges from 300-850. Depending when you connect.

That won't be a problem. It's more of an issue of getting into a server that's not full. I connect to West Coast servers and generally there are about a dozen that are full with maybe another dozen from near full to empty.
If you want popular player base >>> Go play some COD : Bla bla Wafare Every Year

This game is hard but very rewarding. Think of it as the FPS equivalent to Dark Souls in some ways. Toguh learning curve but you won't get completely epic games like in NS2. There's a huge emphasis on teamwork, being a mute and not listening to orders or giving them yourself only serves to irritate and bore.
