Someone please explan to me why there is linux but no mac version of this game.
After seeing gameplay of this game I was really excited to play it. And since it used to be PC only and now had the "steam play" on it I decided to buy it. Why did they make the decision to run this game for linux (and PC)? Wouldn't it be more logical to run it on mac, since (im assuming) there is more players playing on a mac than a linux. I'm just wondering since I know that if it says "steam play" then I know it supports mac (apparently not). So I bought the game wondering why it wasn't downloading. Then I looked back at the supported platforms and literally stared at the PC and linux symbol for 5 straight minutes while I began to figure out the most efficient way to kill myself.

The reason being that other OS have their own command and instruction list.
and covering each one is a pain.

There is a method to get NS2 to run on a Mac through a virtual machine (not java virtual machine), not the best method, but a method none the less.

I would imagine that the devs chose to get it running on linux to support the Steam OS that's getting used on those Steam Machine boxes.

Because MACs were not created to play games on.

It's True, Macs are the last ones to get a game port to it, if it's lucky enough to get it.

Computer Game Order (highest to lowest):
Windows
Linux
Mac

If I were to add consoles to the mix, Mac would still be in the same spot, dead last (next to the WiiU)
