I wish it did too. / get money to buy an awsome rig !
That's about $500 right there on just three parts.
Maybe they can make it free-to-play and put in hats, boxes and other stuff. But that will completly ruin the game imo.
So since my favorite servers are gone and the official servers are mostly empty and running the same map, I'll take a break from this game.
Nah
The highest peak number it ever got to was about 7,000+ players not long after launch, but subsequent sales and F2P weekends haven't really boosted numbers. Nobody is really interested.
It's a shame because NS2 is different from everything else, just like NS1 was. Unfortunately it was too little too late and I doubt it will ever recover.
An Luck not Skill, the problem was optimisation. Shadowing was far too heavy on my computer and mine isn't really a low end PC nor a beast. Load times on that game were also ridiculous. I have a Core i5-2500K @4GHz an a 7870 OC'd to 1.1GHz / 1.25Ghz. After improvements were made I can easily max it these days, but by that time so many people had left the numbers just started to decay.
Took them 10 years to do this and they probably aided its own decline by rushing the last few months and not ensuring it ran better on lower spec computers.
