New build has issues on some servers
Has anyone noticed since the recent build that teh game has a few major issues? So far I have noticed that marines will be facing the wrong direction and get kills, are able to withstand almost 500 damage before dying, and can fire trhough walls even more so than before. It only seems to affect the marines though not aliens like before.

It's not a constant thing, but sometimes I have noticed marines will survive nearly 7-8 bites without getting medpacks

I think I've noticed the first two things on multiple occasions. I've written off both as the result of lag at very inopportune moments, but it might be something else.

Like a few mins ago I found a marine in a vent, I flew towards his back as a lurk and began biting him. I bite him close to 6 or 7 times, then he fired away from me and I fell over dead. Very annoying.

This sounds a lot like the phenomenon of being shot "around" corners/walls. On your screen that skulk/lerk/fade is still visible, but on their screen they have long made it out of your LOS, yet you get the kill. Whether they are caused by the same thing (lag/latency/etc.) I'm not sure.

It might be wise to bring this up over on the official forums.

That is due to the character model being so large, but your screen so small and forward on the body. When you turn, there is actually about 4 feet of character body sticking around the corner, even though it appears you are safe in your vent. I'm talking about dying 3-4 seconds after you round a corner and are nearly in the next room and falling over dead.

Yeah I was talking about those same scenarios, not character model overhang.

Data only travels at/close to the speed of light to each player (*see official forums for more technically accurate explanation*), so when the game compensates for this, it can sometimes lead to situations like you just described: where to you it appears as though you are 3-4 seconds around a corner, but to the other guy you are just getting around it.

The same kind of thing could be happening with marines appearing to be looking in the other direction when they kill you.

Yeah considering I have more hours than you do, it's not that I don't understand basic game mechanics, it's the fact that the damage counter will say that I'm doing an upwards of 400 damage to a marine and he is not dying....which is impossible with armor 3 and nano shield......

medpacks have a flash of light and make a sound. They also have a cooldown which makes it impossible to funnel medpacks into someone, even with nano shield.
