The loading part should get better with the next patch. The game isn't really meant to be a jump in play get out for a frag fix. It is definately a game that takes time to learn and time to play (some rounds can last 30-60 minutes as the sides trade bases). If you are interested in learning some of the basic mechanics of the game, I have wrote something that resembles a paper manual on this game. If you go to Reddit/r/ns2, it is a sticky post (one and only one). I am also working on porting the manual as a Steam guide.
I am not sure how loading time is for you, but my old 7200 HDD with a 3.0GHz dual core really struggles, but I have still clocked 600+ hrs on this game. Good Luck, and hope you do find the game enjoyable after you look past all its faults (and there are many - its an indie game after all)

This game is a perfect example of Devs not knowing when to stop updating.

I played this game when it first came out, and let me say, it was 10x better.
