Memory Leaks under Windows XP are sadly a known issue which is not really fixable due to the limitations of windows xp and 32 bit.

Please think about a os upgrade if you want to play ns2.
But WindowXP mainly in my Region is use for computers that run Office work , and play games

Thought UWE should fix this ? Instead tell user upgrade new OS cost 60$

You could go with Linux, as an Alternative OS.
Zorin[zorin-os.com] Looks and acts like windows and can run windows applications, but it's linux.
The whole OS is pre-configured and setup to run windows appliactions as well as linux ones.
And the OS is FREE, or you could pay about $15 and get the premium version

And Zorin is nice for a dual or single boot system,
Though if it's dual boot, windows gets installed first, then Zorin.

Thank you man, this worked! But i don't know how Mods can be active after reinstalling the game and deleting the workshop files... Anyway - it works since 3 hours without problems!

yeah i have over a 1000 hours in this game(only multiplayer game i play) and have never really had any major problems with it, but at this point its becoming a chore just to start/run/play the game.

Since the new patch came out I've had to:

validate my cache way too many times,
reinstall like 4 times,
delete my NS2 app data folder at least 10 times,
subscribe and unsubscribe to numerous mods ovr and over just to play on a server.

And yet i still constantly have issues joining servers now. I get the server files dont match crap, or the mods out of date or some other error over and over and over. I mean they want to try to balance the game with these patches and that's cool but at least make sure the damn thing will run smooth first.

Why should Devs fix this? XP reached total End of Life 4 months ago. After being on the market for 13 years... I think the time has come...

No to mention that 4GB of ram these days, just doesn't cut it. Sure, in an office setting it most certainly will. But not for games, especailly graphically demanding games, that have large amounts of assets.
