Guess this'll be my first review and this game's first review.

Made as a joke or as a serious project, both this game and it's four-pack aren't worth the money you'll spend on them. I got this for 50 cents and I am still tempted to pester Steam about getting a refund. You might ask 'Is three minutes enough time to know this game is bad?' And the answer to that is a resounding 'Yes! Only reason I have more than five on record is because you need five to review the game!'

Gotta hand it to Digital Homicide, they sure do know how to elevate the production of crappy, unplayable, and utterly unfathomable games into an art form. Moreover, they're obviously rather business-savvy, as it can't possibly cost that many peanuts per hour to pay a small group of chimpanzees.

This one hits such a staggering height of ♥♥♥♥♥-ness that it makes the likes of Temper Tantrum and The Slaughtering Grounds look like peerless masterworks. Only Devils Share can claim faecal superiority over this soon-to-be-legendary cluster of festering alien arse-nuggets.

Verdict: 0.2/10.

So, the gameplay consists of :
Step 1 : Spam the left mouse button for 2-6 seconds, while looking at a star
Step 2 : Watch "warp" animation for 6-7 seconds as you travel to another sector
Step 3 : You are back to step one, with exactly the same model of the planet and the environment, repeat.

One would think that eventually you will get to see some enemy forces, different model, at least texture maybe ?
But no, it's what it is.

As a person who messes around on amateur level in game dev, I can say that this doesn't take 30 minutes to set up in Unity. It's really sad to see such products on Steam, not even in Early Access if I'm not mistaken ?
How come someone decides to let this thing "go" on the store, even with price tag of 0.99 ?

The gameplay time is from farming the trading cards, just like about 80 other games that I've purchased through bundles on Steam during summer sale. Real playtime is not even 15 minutes. Not because I didn't want to give this game a chance, but because I saw complete game in first 3 "warps".

With that being said, I can't help but agree that I have feeling that Digital Homicide is going after "The worst games" title, which is already applied to their name by various players.

This game is utter trash, just like the other games made by this "company"

Decimation of olarath gives you a background of what's going on on the store page because the devs were too lazy to put the background into the actual game itself.

"Olarath, The Council of Entropy has commanded you and your brethren to wage war upon the universe. As one of the quarter million Yurmuth (corporal ranking) of the 58028th assault wing of the 12056th Dark Lord's Army, you have been assigned to a score of solar systems approximately 51 million light years from the core of a galaxy called the Milky Way. Your mission: Polarize all inhabitants by crushing their planets with shattering anti-matter shards, eat their souls remnants to ensure they do not return to this universe, then obliterate each solar systems star to increase entropy in the region.

A warriors welcome is prepared for your return, and you will be served as dessert to your wing if you fail."

Well, they diefinately put alot of thought into it. Wonder if they used some sort of random plot generator to come up with that.

Anyways, in Decimation of Olarath, you "control" an alien squid thing with zombie sfx and eat planets, avoid stars and then go into the Sun which, somehow, leads you to another galaxy. I said "control" because the controls for this alien squid thing are terrible. You float around with a terrible camera, so half the time you have no ide where you're, where the planets are or what you're doing. The movement controls are also really floaty, I can sort of sea that DH might have been aiming for realism as this will occur in space but when this is combined with a terrible camera, this makes for a sickeningly bad experience. I doubt they were really aiming for realism as the enemies aren't affected by the same things you are. It isn't even on the limits that it's so challenging that it's fun, it's just bland and boring and nearing unplayability.

The planets look blurry as hell and are terrible to look at as well.

This is once again another terrible game by Digital Homicide and is another one for you to skip, nothing good to see here.

Ok, so without a doubt this is one of, if not THE, worst game on Steam (and Digial Homicide provide pretty much all the competion in this respect).

It is utterly without merit and should be shunned by every self-respecting gamer so as not to encourage this developer to release games of this ilk.

The only possible interest I can liken this to is similar to slowing down on a motorway to rubberneck a fatal accident on the opposing carriageway.

I keep getting Digital Homicides games as I bought a bundle for pennies some time ago which means I get a lifetime of updates for their 'games'. This is now feeling like self-flagellation.

I was hoping that after a VERY rocky start that Digital Homicide would blossom into a Codemasters (One of the first British video game developers founded by Richard and David Darling in 1986. The company developed a lot of Low-Budget games for the homecomputers C64/16, Amiga, BBC Micro, Acorn Electron, Amstrad CPC, Atari XL/ST and ZX Spectrum.) However, whilst Codemasters did release some initial crap they went on to produce some true all-time classics like the wonderful Dizzy franchise before being taken over and producing some truly magnificent PC games which I’m sure you all know.

Hell, I was hoping that they would even be a Mastertronic, who again produced some low-priced garbage (anyone remember Bionic Granny or BMX racer on the C64?) but again went on to produce some all-time classics like the Kikstart series and re-released classic games, under different guises, like the all-time greats Way of the Exploding Fist released by Melbourne House or Paradroid by Graftgold.

At this stage, however, Digital Homicide seems destined never do anything but release total ****ing ‘skip-ware’. I haven’t played a single game by them so far that I would even classify as just VERY BAD (say a 3 out of 10). To date all have been UTTER garbage, say a 0 or 1 out of 10).

I hope they pick up their standards. I hope my tiny investment in their products yields at least one decent game before they do gamers a favour and disappear but at this stage they seem to be going backwards, which is a considerable feat.

In short – DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF UTTER, UTTER CRAP !!

Terrible controls, graphics cobbled together out of pre-made assets, and audio that is way too loud. Otherwise, par for the course for Digital Homicide's games.

NEVER VOTE A DH GREENLIGHT GAME! PLEASE! STEAM IS FULL OF TRASH AND DH IS RADIOACTIVE

I'm normally not harsh in my reviews and I always am fair. So in the sake of being fair I'm going to say this game is NOT worth a single cent, I got it for free and I still regret having it in my library. It's....It's.....it's simply broken. in every aspect. The graphics are horrendous, the game play is close to non existent. Just, don't.
