Gekokujo: New Japan Mod for Warband

Hey y'all, I just released my mod last week, and only now realized that a bunch of you probably don't regularly follow the taleworlds forum.

Now you should only replace all names of the nativ with japanese names^^

Well you can thank The Reformist on youtube for putting this one on my radar, but I have to say well done Marty, this is pretty spectacular work. It feels like there should have always been a Japanese Warband like this one. It's neck and neck between Gekokujo and Brytenwalda for my favorite version of M&B now.

Will there be further updates or are you done?

eta: Im even streaming traditional japanese folk music while I play, really helps with the vibe. Tho even the vanilla Warband soundtrack seems a lot more appropriate in 19th century Japan for many of its tracks than it did in Calradia.

Excellent idea, mount and blade is definitely a game series that needs to have almost every possible variety out there due to its amazing troop management and leader control gameplay. A feudal japan is exactly the kind of version that will stick out. The weapon variety however, could be altered to have guns though due to foriegn traders, (if historically accurate) and may have a lot in common with, mount and blade with fire and sword. In the end though, the armor, battle cries, katanas, and land will definitely provide a beautiful and authentic experience most mods lack due to similarities with the european lands. Will hope for it.

Yeah, check out the taleworlds forum thread if you haven't. My next one is big (thanks to me feeling guilty and wanting to make it worthwhile to break everyone's saves :p). I also changed the music -- which I normally have off, so i almost completely forgot about it -- they're also traditional japanese music for the most part

I dunno if this was a problem that only I ran into but when dowloading the 1-1 release Candidate from the Seattle server I would get the following problem upon extracting the rar file.

It seems to have extracted fine now that I downloaded it from the San Jose server however.

Wow Look at the date of this post. Like a year old.
Dosen't matter. Finish this mod completely. It's a great mod.
All the city streets, castles, bars look the same. You have mongolian bandits and you indicate that there will be mongolians, but nothings there. You still have a large snowy section of Japan unocupied. Only half of japan has roads.

Come on.. People make videos of this mod!!! FINISH IT!
