I became a mercenary by day 12, with an army of 27 people, and proceeded to capture a nord castle on day 19, from there, I have 1 castle, and 3 villages under my control as an independent faction

Someones playing on easiest difficulty settings lol! I only play on hardest difficulty settings as mentioned in my top post... (although I realised after 350-400 days I had been playing on Average instead of Good AI... but everything else is max ;) I changed AI difficulty to Good when I realised ;)

Meh even then, I don't shoot any ranged tools to make the damage to allies a threat, and skills in blocking advance very quickly so damage to yourself rarely matters unless people are puncushioning you. But yes, good AI makes them so much more defensive, still doesnt help when horse archers are pincushioning them in return :D

1: Thats not how damage to allies works.... 1/4 dmg to allies means all companions (Katrin, Ymira, etc) take 1/4 damage from all sources, including enemies. So yes it really does help.

2: Good AI transforms the enemies from barely using block to blocking 1/2 of your attacks.. it even makes 1v1 duels quite difficult at times, making the AI as good as an average online player besides a few regular AI flaws such as horses getting stuck.

3: Damage to yourself always matters! what r u on about lol... Having half damage means you have twice the amount of health and you should survive twice the amoutn of time in battle... meaning you can take out twice the number of players... how is that not an extreme advantage rofl?

What about auto-blocking?
ClearlyDistorted Dec 6, 2012 @ 1:57am
hmmm i hadnt considered that lol... I use manual blocking... how good actually is auto-blocking? I heard its like hacks lol... you just mash right click and u can block any attack even against pros in Multiplayer... I have been using manual blocking all this time so far ;)
