Merchants have no Money? A Clash of kings mod and vanilla?

So im just starting this game and i seem to have a problem with all merchants not having any money to buy my loot. They do have items i can buy just no money for them to buy my stuff. I have the A clash of kings mod installed but as said in the title i have the same problem with both native and the mod. I have tried reinstalling the game and mod, seperately and a clean install of both but still getting the same problem.

Any help or suggestions? thank you very much

You can sell any item to any merchant: sell weapons to the armor merchant, sell armor to the horse merchant, etc. As the game goes on and you level up, the merchants gradually get more and more money. I never have a problem selling things in the mid to late game.

Edit: Forgot to mention, the merchants' inventories and bank accounts reset about once a week, so if they run out of money, return to them a few days later and they'll have money again.

So if im understanding correctly it is normal for all the merchants to have no money because im still a low level? its not that they have a small amount and i can only sell 1 or 2 things, they have literally 0. i Suppose ill try to level up some and see if they gain some money. Just seems difficult to maintain my supplies while i cant sell the loot i aquire.

They shouldn't have zero money. In the beginning they might only have a few hundred denars. Are you sure you didn't sell them some loot already? Try resting in town for a few days and see if they get some more money. Or visit other towns and try selling your loot there.

One thing I just thought of -- you're not trying to sell your loot in the villages, are you? The villagers have no money. You need to go into town to sell loot.

Something curious happened to me with the book merchant

Books are expensive, and I had a lot of loot, so I bought a book and gave him all the loot I got to pay less…

That happened several hours of “real time” and I am sure many, many weeks in the game, I even forgot about this, but when I found the book merchant again and asked to buy other book I was surprised that he still had all the garbage I sold him (cheap swords, hats, tattered fur armors…).

So for some reasons after long, loooong time of game play that book merchant didn’t reset his money/merchandise, usually stores in towns do after few days.

Book merchant is like a bank for items. You're not the only one who sees this. I've never seen the book merchant reset. He just hoards everything.

As for having 0 denars.. Weird. Could be a bug with the mod?

What economic changes do you have in the mod options (high effects it I think)? They could have no money because the town/city is just poor in general
