320 Top tier soldiers in a castle??

For the love of....
My faction captures a town, usually 100 men in it (usually low level).
Enemy faction captures one of our towns and gets 320!!! I'm talking over 90 sharpshooters and 100 sergeants!
-HOW on earth do you take a town like that back? It's an absolute bloodbath! I can only have 120 men in my army, if all of them were top tier I wouldn't stand a chance (let alone afford them)!
-Seriously, HOW do you take a castle with 320 men in it?

If you build up your relations with other lords to at least 20 through improving your honor and doing quests for them then it's pretty easy to ask them to follow you and help you in the siege. If the enemy fief requires a siege tower though then it can get difficult since often lords won't stay with you for the 2-4 days it often takes to build the siege tower unless you're the marshal and called a campaign. But, if you build up one of your companions' Engineer skill to 10 and your own Engineer skill to 5 then it'll only take 18 hours to build the siege tower making it more likely that your allied lords will stay long enough to assist you in the assault.
