Kings of Thrones (ACOK) mod question\problem?
I went to the North, enlisted to serve one of the lords, but all he does is patroling.
I asked him what his goal is, he said that he cant join the Marshals' quest
because he cant find the main army.
So i waited for several days, and nothing is happaning...
Eventually i left him.
Currently im level 8 with 26 troops (out of 50+), my of my troops are well trained.

Also it looks like there are no weapons to buy... found few polearms, but thats it.
im using 1h + shield, and riding with a spear, while i have a good spear,
im still using the round shield i started with + a rusty 1h sword...

Help :p

the mod description says there are many new weapons, yet the shops are empty.
mostly they sell some polearms, 1 or 2 1h weapons, usually maces and clubs, no swords.
so where are all those weapons?...

The North usually sits around and does nothing because of the large distance to enemies and between fiefs. The AI does not deal well with trying to manage such a large empty area. They rarely will go south far enough to engage in war and if they do get there many lords will start giving up before a siege can complete.

yes indeed i did noticed this "problem", why the mod devs did it this way and why dont they fix it? obviously its not just the distance, the path finding even for me, was terrible.

All of the factions use the same core AI that has to deal with a variety of situations and there are limits to what the modder can do about that. The pathing seems to be a work in progress. Adequate in some areas and problematic in others. The naval paths and battles are especially quirky but those are really hacked in additions to the game. The usual solution for these is to make the geography easier for the AI to handle and to have castles, towns, and villages fairly evenly distributed. The mod maker in this case decided to stick with the geography and settlement locations as close to the source books as possible. The AI then has to struggle with a world that completely ignores its limitations and sticks to the lore of the books instead.
