How to Knock Up Thora?
So apparently someone found something in the coding indicating that it's possible for a Male PC to be Thora's baby daddy.

How?

Upon first meeting her I scared Egil away, threw a flirty comment at her, and she had no further dialogue after that. Then I curbstomped the ambush guy. Thora still had no new dialogue. Then I followed the quest sequence until I was told to go back and win the farmer's favor and BAM!

One of my soldiers is accused of raping her, impregnating her, and now I have to make it right.

Where in this extremely tight and narrow sequence of events was it supposed to be possible for my PC to be the poppa?

I'm guessing you missed it. I read some article someplace where it was hinted at as being an extrememly rare and specific possibility. It was on my mind when I did the storyline recently but I didn't see any obvious opportunities either.

Reading your comment though gives me an idea. Was there an opportunity to step up and admit to being the father of Thora's child? Perhaps that triggers a "shotgun wedding"?

In an effort to save you time, I've been back to Ulf's Farmstead numerous times in the nearly thirty levels since and they never have anything new to say.

The insidious part of the problem is that it could well be a series of specific events, dialogue options, etc. that are spread over different parts of the story. That way, saving your game and just repeating the Farmstead scene over and over again, wouldn't actually help.

I guess we'll know after someone else figures it out?

No. There's an option to "Take her with me" which just gets -1 approval and an insult. And option to accuse a thrall of knocking her up which...goes over poorly. All around. And an option to offer any man of the farmer's choosing in my army as a husband to thora...which gets even more disapproval and a bigger insult than the offer to bring ehr along. Then the beserker dude steps in.

Also it's breathtakingly tedious to have to reduce my army down to thirty men every effing time I want to enter the farmstead.

Deeply, profoundly, and epicly tedious.

I am familiar with the basic options. I'm talking about marrying Thora. I thought that was what you were talking about too?

In any event, that's what I'm on about. I remember reading about someone saying there is a way to marry Thora...Ulfsdottir?

Those are the only options I got sadly.

Maybe it has to do with personality options in the beginning? I chose Choleric...which was described as being ambitious, driven, charismatic on the good side but short tempered and aggressive on the downside. So far every Choleric dialogue option that has come along has me being a purely short tempered and aggressive ♥♥♥♥. Including a non-optional one that popped up during my first meeting with Thora's dad. Maybe that's what messed it up?

Maybe? That sounds like a reasonable guess.

What is your personality and virtue choice? Mine is Choleric/Wisdom. Wisdom never seems to come up in Dialogue. Choleric comes up from time to time but always makes me a jerk.

I don't remember...sanguine and something? I'm not really sure.

It also wouldn't matter since I wasn't watching for a dialogue option about Thora being pregnant. The whole "shotgun wedding" thing didn't occur to me until I saw this thread.

Well I have very high charisma and I chose what I said to her very well. So no, Bryt didn't tell us crap. lol

Wow, that is awesome.

Now what exactly does "high charisma" mean? I'm glad to know it's a lot easier than it could have been. High charisma and carefully choosing the right options before you start up with Ulf.

I remember the part where you can talk with her, it was a short conversation. I was clearly found wanting...lol

I reloaded an old save, edited the Char Export filed to give myself a 63(the game's maximum attribute score) in Charisma and a 10 in Persuasion and tried talking to Thora again witht he flirty dialogues. No change whatsoever. So clearly "High Charisma" doesn't do the job.
