why is the "turtorial" campaign map 2 so hard.
Considering this is a "turtorial" campaign shouldnt it be easy? I must be missing something because i cant get past it, i always have plenty of rescources but i cant do anything with them since the brarracks replenish units so slowly and if i decide to wait then the enemy armies just get stronger and unkillable, and its not as if im taking my time but even when i rush through the beginning part of the map losing hardly any units i still eventually hit the problem of trying to kill the wolf guys army of about 70 marksman 70 pertorians and 70 elite priests, how can i defeat that with about 40 petorian 30 spearmen and 20 crossbowmen?

There must be another way of getting units other than waiting for them to replenish because ive seen clips of people playing this map and when they are attacking there first enemy army led by a hero they have something like 100 crossbowmen...? Or does everyone use cheats with this game?

samem question here. The game is unballanced. You cant pit so hard gameplay from tutorial

first of all it depends on the difficulty of the game how quickly your enemies grow bigger and bigger.second of all you don't have to kill every enemy stack simply attack the easy ones.thirdly try using your dynasty traits and weapons to the maximum potential. replay the battles if need be and if you are a new player dont play above hard difficulty.

im only playing normal but i end up facing impossible odds, although im no pro at this game ive played plenty of strategdy games so this shouldnt be so hard. and i am missing out all most the neutral enemies that dont have much rewards and even when i do attack neutrals i rarely lose any units at all its just when coming up against giant stacks of 80 skeletons where my troops start dying at hilarious rates.

How did you get your game working?

i never had any installation problem with this game. someguy what i always do is avoid attacking ranged neutral armies at first.also you might want to check out some quides for the campaign map and surely your primary hero's skills are the most important thing.but my advice is always stay on the defensive with your melee units dont rush

well if anyone is having the same problem as me I found that the first map of the orc campaign was easier then the second mapof the turtorial campaign, just dont do necropolis campaign thats unaturally hard...

The tutorial is really easy compared to the rest of the game. If you cant beat the tutorial you wont be able to get anywhere in the game.. the last tutorial mission is supposed to be kind of like a rite of passage. There are some easy missions in the game, but most of it fairly difficult.

If you lose more than a few units in a fight, reload. If you make some wrong moves and waste most of a week doing nothing, reload. Enemies get stronger every passing week, so the game is more of a race against time than anything else. Sometimes you will lose simply because you took too long to get to the end.

I like this game BUT I find myself unable to enjoy playing it because of the extreme rate that enemy troops grow. I like to explore and look around. This game forces you to be as quick and direct as possible to achieve the victory conditions else you end up in a position where the enemy stacks are just too huge to ever beat. I would have preferred an AI where increaseing the difficulty meant the AI became more tactical and strategic and not just an exponential increase in troop numbers.

Game is hard but that's why there's easy difficulty (and custom difficulty too). I tried playing on normal but had to restart on easy. Still not a cakewalk but manageable. It's true though that difficulty seems to come from troop numbers which sucks. Third necrocampaign mission was pretty stupid at the end because I had to bash end turn for four game weeks to get my army big enough while enemy camped in his last city (on easy). Biggest reason I play easy is that I don't want to play a map for six hours only to find out that enemy has reached unbeatable army size and I can't outgrow him.

the last battle in tutorial second map is literally putting me up against about 5000 units..........don't know how I am supposed to get past that.....

I do explore the map and usually 100% it (why I'm only on the end of the second campaign I guess). The trick is to pick your battles early on, and play strategicly to minimilise casualties using spells and skills (for humans make sure you get second tier priestesses for two heals and the healing spell and always use them). Also don,t rush your melee units in, you can check enemy range and make sure you get first attack (use the guardian ability if possible). If you keep taking massive losses the game will be hard but keep them alive and make sure to build unit producing building as soon as you can and the game pretty easy when you figure it out. Its actually my relaxing strategy game, some like Eador are much harder. Just stick at it. Oh and never "bash end turn" the mobs grow bigger too, you need to build your hero so keep up forward momentum. Good luck

Actually at the end of a mission, when enemy only has one city and one hero, bashing end turn can be a good idea. If you have more cities (and buildings in them), you will outgrow his army.
