got gold edition on steam, downloaded, but uplay asks for shades of darkness key Started by Enderwiggin3, Today 03:57 AM
So I recently purchased the Might and Magic: Heroes VI gold edition on steam. I completed all of the downloading and then proceeded to make a uplay account. When I logged in uplay asked for an activation code for shades of darkness (which I did not purchase) and refuses to let me access anything other than pop-up asking for the activation code. If someone would please help me resolve this issue I would be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance :)

This is exact same thing is happening to me. Any insight would be grateful. Man Uplay is just terrible. The game worked fine before it was involved in the equation.

I had the same problem, but just entered the key for HOMM6 Gold as provided by Steam and that got accepted.

i did some research on it and i cant remember what exactly it was but I found a website that talked about opening up a command console and telling it to open uplay that way. For some reason it opened right up and allowed me to enter the correct code, works now.

"Use your gold edition key for the shadows one. "

I'm having this problem and tried that. It didn't work and now my uplay account is banned for entering an invalid CD key (WHAT THE ACTUAL ♥♥♥♥ IS THIS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?).

Why am I even having to deal with this uplay crap? I'm already logged into my steam account.
