Might & Magic: Heroes VI

HELP - Can you connect to CONFLUX?
Hi,

Does anyone can connect to CONFLUX, who bought the game when the price was reduced a few days ago?
I downloaded the 10GB, installed and started it via Steam. Copied the key into Uplay and then the game started... after a few tries. But ingame I cant connect to this Ubisoft-CONFLUX thing. According to the game i need to release it with the cd-key, before playing it on single-player. But I already did that in Uplay...
Furthermore the "Uplay-Version" Steam leads me to seems to be a "small" version of the normal Uplay, because I miss the buttons to navigate to my other games (AC3, Farcry3 for example).
Plus HOMM6 is not in my game-list on my Uplay-Account (when I logg in without Steam).

All this crap is totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and confusing. I bought the game and I want to play it :((
I hate this Uplay-Crapware... nothing works -.-

HOMM won't be on Uplay because you bought it on steam. That at least is certain :)

But for the cd-key content problem, we are legion who are getting the same problem. This sucks I know...

Apparently they are working on it. But the confidence is low, at least on my part.

Yeah, and it's hilarious, isn't it? HOMM 5 works just fine through Steam, but VI is messed up thanks to Ubi's completely redundant and worthless junk DRM. This speaks volumes about the utter ineptitude of those responsible for this at Ubi - actually, about those who decided they had to use Uplay in the first place because oh woop-di-friggin'-do, Uplay has been cracked an aeon and a half ago. Let's see if there will be a day when Noobshit Soft get their heads outta their collective asses...

We have to face the fact that obviously all major publishers employ 2nd grade IT experts for their server administartions. If it is UBI now with HOMM VI or EA with Origin and SimCity... Those massive failures can't be just coincidence but have to have their reasons somewhere.

ITS YOUR DRM, MARTY, SOMETHINGS GOTTA BE DONE ABOUT YOUR DRM
At least I can play now on singleplayer... But I didnt get a message from ubi regarding that. Only that this is a known "bug" and they are working on it.
The game is really nice - but the DRM fails at all... -.-

But the CONFLUX-Problem still exists - I dont know why I cant connect to it. Seems that I have to write another flamy ticket :p

This game is so broken thanks to Ubis UPlay which is the largest crap ever to be produced. I was so happy when they finally released the Nvidia Patch but now I have problems starting the game thanks to UPlay - and when I start "offline" all my savegames a gone.
Ubisoft - take your UPlay and gfy.

The solution for your problem is so very simple. I implemented it after HOMM6 release 2 years ago.

Neglect them the only feedback they care: your money. Your life will be better.

If you want a fantasy RTS_RPG hybrid buy Eador, Masters of the Broken World for 20 bucks.

It has some bugs, but the devs are making 2 patches every week. Graphically is not worst than HOMM6, single player campaign lasts 120+ hours and game mechanics are 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times better than HOMM6.
I'm no fan of UPlay (THANK YOU MASTER CONFLUX) but for some reason mine just works after the gold patch last week. Maybe because I've used Uplay in the past on Far Cry 3.gl guys
Played now about four hours and could detect no bugs at all...
For 13€ a nice game :)

Started a game the other day after finally being allow into the content I already payed for. Today I cannot connect to this stupid CONFLUX and so can OBVIOUSLY not load that game. That would be far too much to expect.

Ygolnac: thanks for the tip. What about Fallen Enchantress - anybody knows that game - is currently on sale and also looks like a Heroes Clon maybe better?

i encountered conflux connection problem too.
i played Shades Of Darkness fine for about two days then it broken on 8th

heres what i found:

when the game trying to connect to conflux,it would first send a request to this domain:
lb-onl-vh-wspub01.ubisoft.com
this request would get a proper response, then it would send another request to:
lb-rdv-prod02.ubisoft.com
this is where the problem is , i can not get any response from this server, not a single byte.
i use nslookup then find the binding ip address is 216.98.48.108

can someone somehow confirm the problem? can someone connect to the ip address above successfully? i've been finding answers for days and the ubi custom server sucks and no official replies till now.

i hate ubi.

@mephisto, same issue for me, waiting for some type of a resolution from ubisoft. The can't connect to conflux is happening to a lot of us.

What did their customer service say? This is the reply I got:

"Chad5/3/2013 10:42:08 PM
There have been some issues over the past 2 days which our developers are currently working on. Due to this, the Conflux may down infrequently. I apologize for the convenience. If the conflix goes down, please be patient during this time and it will be back up momentarily."

Its been a week now and I still haven't been able to connect. Maybe we have different ideas of what infrequently and momentarily mean? I'm pretty sure their support didn't even read my ticket and just slapped a canned response in there.

I can't access the DLC that came with the version I bought thanks to this Conflux thing being down. What a rip-off.
