Do you have to use uplay if bought on steam
Have had this game since the day it came out a few years ago, but have only been able to play thirty hours because of crashes and uplay not reconising me anymore. Thinking about repurchasing this game through steam (have enjoyed all the HoMM games) but if it still has to be played on uplay will give it a miss. Would really like to play this, what I did get to play was good.

Yeah, this title requires Uplay to be played regardless of where you bought it.

Just die is to good for them, may be boiling oil and cutting their eye lids off so they cant close their eyes to a problem.

I bought collectors edition, back when this game just came out. I was waiting a long, looong time for this. Back then the game was bug-ridden and the Uplay annoyed me so much that I just left it. Now I was ready to buy this game again, here on Steam, hoping that there is no Uplay. What a shame.

Oh ffs, I just bought this having read a few reviews and I get blindsided by uplay. I had to use that garbage to play the mess that was Farcry 3, and now I need it to launch a game from within Steam?! There's not a single warning on the store page.

Not very obvious, but sadly it is there above the rating.

Actually there is, right above the PEGI info.

Not that I approve of uplay in anyway or form....

Haha, this is what I get for not reading the small print.

I was about to buy it, -75% for complete Edition... man why don't they get rid of UPLAY on certain titles that are getting old. Ubisoft is missing out so much on my money. I would buy Might and Magic X, Heroes 6 complete, try out the might and magic cardgame which is f2p but utilizes the launcher as well... oh well, time to spend my money elsewhere.

You can get Might and Magic 1-6 and 7 DRM free on gog.com. That's where I got my copies!
