Another would-be customer lost, you can keep your DRM
Was excited to see this up for holday sale-time. To my dismay this game STILL requires a 24/7 internet connection and Uplay, on top of me already using Steam. You will not get a dime, I don't care if it goes on sale for $1.

Well...blame alll those that pirate games. Thanks to them honest people have to deal with things like this. So the next time you hear of a friend or a relative pirate a game think about what you as a consumer must endure because of it.

Except I won't be enduring it, because I will not be playing it. A sale lost is the same, whether it's piracy or DRM at fault.

If you say so but many companies are starting to adopt DRM or a form of DRM to protect their rights and rights of their developers.

Thanks for letting us know that it's online only. @Coolwater25, you can't "blame pirates" for game devs screwing over paying customers. Also, newsflash: these DRMs are eventually (i.e very quickly) circumnavigated by crackers. So it doesn't stop piracy at all. Infact the only one who really gets screwed over by DRMs are the people who pay for legit copies. Same with games that require you to have a connection even in offline mode; pirates get around it. Developers/publishers need to find another way to deal with piracy. Constant online requirements and DRM security measures only hurt your legit customers.

I'm convinced that DRM like this isn't aimed at pirates. They have to know how quickly it's bypassed by crackers, they can't be that stupid. They're intentionally making their customers jump through this many hoops for a reason. I have a sneaking suspicion it's so that they can put a hard lifespan limit on their games. Stop running the DRM server and you effectively terminate the licenses for all your paying customers, forcing them to buy new games.

I bought it and I am happy with it. I undersatnd that intellectual rights and properties must be protected. How about you go out and work for free, I bet you don't.

I was going to play this game, but the DRM turned me off.

What you don't understand however, is reasonable protection. Fun fact: used games actually hurt sales more than piracy.
