Linux - Unplayable Slowdown
Hello there. Great game, and great job in porting it to Linux. Thanks to the devs.

I started playing this just like... now. And I was enjoying it a lot, it was running normally. Then I realised that for some reason, I had another game opened in the background. I decided to close it, since I was playing LIMBO instead. Then, I came back to LIMBO and realised that it was suffering from a MAJOR slowdown. It is unplayable. I've tried everything, reboot, reinstall game, reinstall video drivers (I'm using nvidia) and etc, but the slowdown persists.

Then by accident, somehow something glitched and LIMBO got to windowed mode rather than fullscreen, and it started working correctly again. After a while it got back to fullscreen mode and the slowdown returned.

Now, fun fact: I am playing it, right now on fullscreen! But... with another game running in the background!!!

This bug is so weird in itself, I can't recall having seen such a thing before. I am speechless. Ibelieve that there is something wrong with the fullscreen mode of LIMBO. Do you try to grab any specific resource from the GPU to "boost" fullscreen performance?

And when I say "slow" I actually mean "with hicups".

Yeps, going to settings.txt and setting backbufferheight = 1080 seems to fix the issue. There is something wrong with whatever is rescaling LIMBO to fullscreen size when the display is in HD.

Thank you very much. Had this same issue and your fix worked perfectly. Now I can enjoy the game again.

+1 :suncola:. Peace out.
