Definately would recommend if you're into simulation/real life kind of games.
Its got a nice range of customisation for your own personal needs - ie: Real Life vs Fantasy (That chick/guy who friendzoned you - No more with this game. You can make her/him fall in love with you. You can drown her/him or even set her/him on fire! [DO NOT do this in real life])
OR Build your own mansion master piece, town etc. You dont have muscles? This game will give you muscles! Dont have big coconuts? No worries - slide the bust meter all the way up!
This is a game that you can play until you get over it but then be able to come back and pick up where you left off or start over from scratch.
I bought Sims 3 + Multiple DLC packs for $80 (RRP was roughly $200) a few years ago and I dont regret it. Even though it sits there for a while collecting virtual dust due to it becoming repetitive and stale - I am currently back into it. I grab the DLCs while on sale and the additions keep it fresh, interesting and a good variety!
