Sims 3 Expansion Packs Problem
A lot of you have bought Expansion Packs, and have it not showing up on the launcher. I have the same problem. Today, I purchased Sims 3 Pets, and it says I own it, but it didn't show up, and still stayed on the screen from when I got Generations a while back. There's no way you can fix it. A lot of people have already tried deleting it, and installing it again, and that doesn't work. I believe Steam is trying to find a way, so you're just going to have to be patient, and wait, and understand that Steam is doing the best that they can. But, I'm glad to understand that I'm not the only one having this problem. Don't un-install it, because it won't do anything. I guess if you bought Expansion Packs today, it just didn't co-operate. But, I'm sure they'll fix it as soon as they can.

What do you base that assumtion on, that they know about this problem and that they are trying to fix it?

To be honest it's not a very good reintroduction to the series... I used to be a huge fan of the Sims, owned every expansion, but just lost my interest for a couple of years. Now that I finally got back into it and bought the base game on Steam, I can't play the expansion I paid 40 euros for? Now I regret buying them over Steam, should've gotten the CD instead.

Has anyone actually reported this to Steam's support?? I sure as hell did. I paid for this crap, and it's not working--AND I can't get my money back!!!! If nobody reports it, what's the use of talking about it on the forums?? Report it, please. The more knowledgeable they are that people are having problems the more they will be inclined to find out what's wrong. don't just sit here talking about it on the forum. Contact Steam support... Just go to HELP in the menu... seriously it's so easy. I am going to send a support request every other day until they get this problem fixed. This is inexcusable. These people are making money off of US. Why should WE have to wait for them??

No feedback yet. But I just reported the problem yesterday. Somebody mentioned that Steam staff doesn't work on the weekends. I don't know if that's true or not, but it would explain their slowness in dealing with the problem. I hope that's the reason. It's the beginning of a new week, so we'll see....

I got Pets on Friday, and I'm pissed off how we haven't gotten feedback, when we've all reported it. C'mon Steam!

I'm having the same troubles today I bought World Adventures and I can't believe I spent 30 bucks and cant even play...I've had so much trouble with steam lately I went to Origin..but I was stupid and bought it here :(

I really hope Steam gets to it soon, I spent $70 on World Adventures and Pets, and Steam basically took my money. I thought it was just my computer (which I would prefer) but I can't believe there is this many people angry. Steam needs to actually read the reports and fix it!

I keep getting this syntax error and thought that had something to do with the problem, but everybody has it so I guess it's not? And also, is this a recent error or has it been long standing. I got the Sims by itself and it works fine but its just the DLC's

Im almost certain this is recent. I Bought pets recently and it was fine..but last night I got World Adventures and it wont work...well I still have yet to try it for the day. I guess Ill go do that
