If you buy Supernatural on Origin CAN it even be used with the Steam game?
Just curious if anyone else has tried. I bought it before I realized it would be attached to a completely different website and I cannot figure out how to get Supernatural to recognize the Steam Sims 3 game. Anyone know of any options?

The Steam version of the base (and any other expansions you have) should show up on your Origin account as long as you registered them on Sims3.com. You can then reinstall the game from scratch via Origin and install Supernatural on top of that install.

You won't be able to use it with the Steam install unfortunately, no.

Seems like this is EA's tactic to try to get everyone to use Origin so personally I am passing on this expansion and any future ones until and unless they get them on Steam.

You could try doing this:

Although that is for the Create-A-World Tool, you could try the same thing and see if it works.

Yeah no luck in making it work with steam! Guess I have to buy it AGAIN on disc and try it that way.

Ok, what they are trying to say is you can use your cd key with your origin account. SO any sims packs and expansions you bought on steam can be transfered to your sims 3 account which is then connected to your origin account if you have one.

Also, a note is Origin is NOT required to play the sims 3. Only required to install it.
