New Stuff Pack CD Key
Has anyone gotten any news regarding the CD Key for the new stuff pack? I don't want to reinstall everything from Steam since Origin does a better job with the updates anyway >.>

you shouldn't have to reinstall the game. If you bought the base game and then later an expansion or stuff pack it should automatically install.

I've had a support ticket in for 2 days trying to find out what the deal is with not having received my CD-Key for 70's 80's and 90's. No response yet.

To the guy above me, i wanted to add my CD-Key to my Origin account so that i could actually play the game. Since reinstalling my Sims 3 on Steam i have not received a CD-Key for the newest Stuff Pack which i purchased while the most recent sims 3 sale was on, cannot validate 4 of the game files and i'm unable to install ANY store content (worlds etc). Even after 2 steam full Sims 3 re-installs and countless unsuccessful verify game cache attempts the game still wont work; and without my 70's 80's and 90's key, i can't even just install independent of Steam because i wont have access to all the content i have paid for.

Likewise i've tried asking around if you get a response could you please update me and I will do the same. Can't say Steam prevented me from playing Sims, I just like to have extra copies as well as updates.

I have almost all expansions and stuff packs not to mention all my mods mehhhh I can wait for the key... i dont want to reinstall everything from Steam I need the updates because of the modding. Steam just does a lousy job about updating it but its cheapier here so its worth it XD

Will do, though at this point i am not holding my breath for a reply.

I've looked and looked for that key and verified cache, restarted steam, restarted my computer, checked the register etc over and over and that key is simply not there.

If all else fails I have heard reports of Origin support manually adding games to people's Origin accounts if you can show proof of purchase but we're supposed to get a key for it here and I would really rather just have the key.

Got hosed too, not to happy with steam at the moment.

Went to Origin, did their live web chat thing. Had to prove I bought the new dlc thru steam, but once I did they added the new dlc to my EA/Origin account and sent me a 15% discount code.

Oh man... what a hassle >.> but I'll be doing the same and hopefully enough peple annoy them that they fix it. Quick question when you say proof you mean an email or what..? thanks for the info though ^__^

I just talked to EA support via a phone call, and made 3 snapshots one Paypal receipt, Sims 3 content showing dlc keys, and steam transaction showing content with price. While on the phone they had me upload the 3 pictures into case incidents, and the rep added 70's 80's and 90's to origins. If they add missing dlc, click top left in orgins client, then reload orgin games you should see your dlc now. Hope this works for those like me that had this issue.

But if you have EA add it to Origin you still won't have the pack on your sims3.com account though, right? Doesn't that block you from downloading stuff on the exchange that contains content from that pack?

Not a huge deal but still.

And I agree that everyone who is missing the key for this pack needs to send a support ticket in to Steam. The more people that bug them about this the better the chance of getting someone's attention.
