Steam need 2 stop selling Sims 3
Given that no one is willing to support Sims 3 via Steam it is irresponsible to rip off customers by selling Sims 3 via Steam. So we need to make Steam stop selling a game that doesn't work and is not supported.

Theres like 2500 people playing this through steam already
In fact i know 3 of them myself in real life
I have no friends that would add me in origin site....
Tell me is origin going to replace your game copies when your computer dies and you lose any cd keys ect..
I would get a game through steam before anywhere else.

True story:
I recently lost my old laptop due to some hardware issues and the Hard Drive is dead and unrecoverable. I bought a new computer and thank god steam allowed me to have all my games (100's of bux worth) back onto my new system.

I have had one problem and have I think 9 DLC's.
Just because your computer system isnt supporting the game. Doesnt mean everyone else is the same. I think if your computer can handle the requirements for this game, players should have no problems.

There is nothing wrong with ym system, I can play Skyrim and Assassin's Creed X without problems. I have no problems with the Skyrim Creation Kit, yet I cannot use create custom content for The Sims because the tools are incompatible with Steam. Also when I have had problems with my install the official support forum tells me to download Origin and convert my cd keys, they will not help me with Steam.

Game works perfectly fine on Steam. You are complaining about separate tools which have different requirements than the game, and require a certain version of the game.

It is not a ripoff as you can take the keys from Steam and activate them for a version that works with the mod tools. Also, Sims 3 has been cheaper on Steam multiple times than anywhere else.

People are so dumb - it's not Steam's fault, nor the game's. I have every expansion and almost every stuff pack, my game runs fine - because I know how to fix things that are user error or caused by my computer, I don't go blaming everyone else. No one forced you to buy it. People that say crap like this are really starting to ♥♥♥♥ me off.

EA/Origin is not supporting Steam cd keys.I just bought this game last weekend, i cannot register the game online after creating a profile via the launcher prompts.Without registering the game i cannot patch or earn sim points to unlock game items.I can play offline without patches or unlocks but would really like the full version.

I have no issues with the store

All of my CD keys work. That's Steam's issue - so contact them.

I had problems registering my base game, but the expansions worked fine. Steam will automatically patch your game for you, the only thing you miss by not having a store profile is store items.

Steam automatically updates Sim 3, hell patch 1.47 just came out a couple of days ago so saying that it's not supported is silly. Also it's no secret that Sims 3 is buggy so blame who ever is head of the project but thank the modders who are out there that actually cater to this game such as Twallan (NRaas), Pescado (*Awesomemod) and much, much more to name.

And as always, RTFM.

*Awesomemod does not support Steam. :(

Im not always a fan of Steam but i cannot fault them witht he sims, works perfectly. Sometimes a reinstall is needed when you buy a new DLC but is awesome cause you dont needed to sit there with discs or CD keys

Nothing wrong with steam, as a old saying goes

Its not the computers fault its the user

In this case it is not steam but for whatever reasons you fail installing them

Edit, came accross a possible fix from another discussion on steam forums if you having trouble still

I followed the instructions on that page and was able to get the Launcher to finally come up!

HOORAY I can play my game!

First off it does work, it may take time for it to work. Also i think its a very good deal when its all on sale and on origin they NEVER go on sale there. So they are not ripping us off my good sir
