Does anyone play this "normally"?

When I say normal, I mean where you have a save starting off with barely anything, working 5 days out of 7 to earn very little, and barely finding the time to fulfil the needs of your Sims? No, I'm not talking about real life.

I only ask because for Sims I usually use cheats to build a big house etc, but I've started one of the above and I just never have enough time or money to do things I'd like to do. xD

I always start the game normally, I never use cheats...it ruins the experience for me. At first you can't afford everything you want, have to make decisions of what would benefit your Sim more. As you progress, you can buy newer & fancier things, just like real life.

The sim im playing with now, i started with a refirbish house, and had like, 300 simoniansleft. The start was rough, and no social time. But with long life expectancy, and selling the guest bedroom, i survived. Sure no social life, but now my sim is a world class cook, working 3 days a week at $450 an hour, 1,600 a day :)

Now for my adult life i can party and be social, and grow a family / spawn a generation. Was actually really fun. Used to cheat, but this way is just a lot more fun way to play. Just know that your sim will be VERY BORED!!! Just make sure to be a work-a-holic untill you get your top job, then its smooth sailing :)

I've always used cheats just to get a bunch of money. I didn't use to, but I got so bored of making the sim eat, bathe, sleep, go to work, over and over again. It got so boring. So I started using cheats and I've always thought it was more fun just making them do weird things and building relationships.

I only cheat if you can call playing a nature loving fae ,buying a empty lot and only building a small undeground toilet and a fae house on it,cheating.

Whats the point in the game if you cheat lol. Why working, i wish i would get tons of money by writing a code in reallife. But i just own a boutique. QQ

I use only one cheat. The money cheat. Mainly because I run 3 to 6 members in a family and they think I do the 1 to 2 family thing. So I type in the motherlode cheat to give my family the proper funds for 3 sims to live together after I but an unfurnished 2 bedroom house.

I know I don't need to-it's just easier this way. Why? I switch between my sims from time to time...However, I always play my main sim because I created him to be simial to me.

I play within the limits of the cash through different career paths. I played the first Sims series for many years, sometimes I'd cheat for cash, it depends on what character I was making. So far with this one, it really isn't uber hard to come up with cash.

The first sims I ever played I remember how hard it was...selling a window for food XD good memories =) but now since sims don't really change much I just use cheats..doesn't ruin any experience for me at all..there is still a lot to do...

Honestly, I cheat all the time. If I wanted to watch someone sleep eat work repeat every day I would just watch myself. It's boring, so of course in a sim. game I'd like to live a fantasy. ;P

I really don't see a problem using any cheats after all it isn't a multiplayer game the last time I checked. So if I perfer to use a money cheat it doesn't hurt anybody. Doesn't make me any less of a gamer since I don't use cheats in any other game except Sims 3 & Saints Row 2. I'm the one who is playing the games and nobody else in my home is.
Now I was truthful when asked, but don't think you can grief me or anyone else for using cheats remember flaming isn't allowed.
The only reason I need is because I want to. I don't have to provide any other reason then that one.

Wait. I never wanted to flame, i just think it's not needed, that's all. Atleast you are cheating in a singleplayer game, that's right!
