Origin + Steam

I bought the sims years ago, when it first came out, and at that time i didnt have steam.
So my base game and two expansion packs (ambitions + WA ) are both linked to origin. The problem with that is that if i want to get an expansion pack, i can not use steam for which would suit me much better.
So i was wondering if there is any chance that anyone might have a copy of the sims to gift me so i may be able to purchase the DLC on steam and then use the keys to download and play via origin (for which does work)
i would be so very grateful, thanks :)
