The Sims 3 constantly crashing

I've installed the game on two different computers now, both of which have no issues with any other games or software. The Sims 3 crashes on them both. I can play for abourt 10 minutes then it stops responding.

The game used to work fine, was it patched recently or something? I never used to have any problems with this game.

Getting very frustrated with this game, at this rate I'm going to trade or gift it away because I've about had enough.

Any suggestions before I give up on this?

The game used to run perfectly, I played it over xmas without a single issue.

Try to enable Vsync.

I could force it through the control panel, afterall there is no v-sync option in game

I'm having the exact same problem as you. Have enabled Vsync and it's still crashing. Extremely frustrating. Used to work fine. The last 24 hrs it just doesn't want to play.

Same here, it's completely buggered up and freezing every few seconds after about 5min of playtime. It was definitely working earlier this year. Was there a patch with the university expansion that might have pooped it?

You said it worked over mas fine but now it won't, thius leads me to wonder if your mods are outdated as it would or should have updated to v1.50 from at a guess 1.48 which was around Xmas, update your mods and then run the game, also if no luck there then try removing all if any custom content and other mods and do a fresh game with no mods to see if it happens

IF you play with mods then they would be out of date which can cause issues

Somthing else I have noticed is not to alt tab out of game, this appears to cause my laptop to crash if I alt tab out of game then back into it, runs fine if I do not alt tab for hours and hours

I completely removed and reinstalled the games, there are no mods installed on either PC.

How do get all the expansions working in Origin? I tried registering the base game but it's telling me it's invallid.

Also it's very slow, the redeem code option took 10 minutes to load ffs. Is Origin normally this crap?

EDIT: Okay so all the keys but the base game work on Origin, why is this? isnt it imposible to play without the base game? :/

Do you have testingcheatsenabled on?
I heard that if you have it on for too long the game random exits, glitches appear:etc
