It's just a demo at this point, but here is my mod:

If you don't like it, I will be working on the first version, and eventually the final version. In the meantime, Stainless Steel and Deus lo Vult are my favorite mods out there so far.

All of the Mods just mentioned can crash your PC. All mods will crash your PC at some point. Try using the most popular mods because they have the most up to date bug reports and fixes. Modssuch as;

Broken Crescent http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=346

Stainless Steel http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=314

Third Age Total War http://www.twcenter.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=654

These are big mods with many potential problems but with the fastest bug fix turn around. They also happen to be the three best mods going, the most visually pleasing and the most reliable.

Agriphal mentioned the great mods already. Popular mods are popular because they work and aren't buggy. Although we need to ask can you computer graphically handle alot of the detail load? In particular alot of the mods effect vegatation because this is the most resource and graphics hog in the game. As for mods, I'm loving the hard as heck Third Age one. also FYI when you downloading it just do it thoguh MODmb and sign up for a free account there. Because if not you wil lwait for like2 days for the 2 parts of the main file and patch to download vs. the 4 hours with the account.

For a simple mod that is most similar to Vanilla, but just adds Kingdoms factions and units, you could try Kingdoms Grand Campaign mod.

I am really enjoying 'Deus lo Vult', its a great rework of the vanilla game with tons of new features.

How have you guys not tried The Sundering: Rise of the Witch King, and its upcoming mod Struggle for the Old world, in my Opinion its a crisper beter structured/organised/and background based warhammer Mod, Rage of the dark gods is 3 years old this got its latest update yesterday (07.02.13)

I just got M2TW just to get the call of warhammer mod, and am having trouble as there don't seem to be the same file directory threads with things set up through steam. any tips or pointers would be appreciated.
I also seem to have only found 1.5 and the recent patch 1.5.1 for it, in three parts, and with very awkward download sites, so if someone has a better source link, that would be great as well.
