How long did it take YOU to beat it your first time?
Just finished DS2 for the first time and it took me 10 hours. I found this to be kind of surprising as the first Dead Space took me around 16 hours to complete. While DS2 is graphically and atmospherically a way better game with tons of different art assets, I am left here wondering why the second one is shorter than the first one. For a single player only game (because let’s be honest, that’s what DS is all about even if they tacked on MP) 10 hours is kind of on the short side. I am pleased with the product they pushed out, which is why I wish it would have been a bit longer.

But what I’m really curious to know is how long did it take you to beat DS2? And how long was that relative to your first DS1 play through?

Took me about 5-6 hours to beat the first one on the hard difficulty the first time, and about 8-9 hours on hard for the second one. I could not even imagine taking 16 hours to beat the first one, and yes i collected and found everything i could.

I've had a keyboard and mouse in my hand since i was 6, been playing video games for a good 20 years. So yes, i am a proper hardcore gamer that knows the in and outs of shooting games, hell any game for that matter.

On another note i found it to be the complete opposite then the OP, The first one is shorter then the second one.

Dead space 1 and 2 are both fantastic games in my opinion, everything comes together great to make it an awesome experience. The music, the ambient sounds and some may disagree but the clunkyness of the controls added to the experience, i believe that was intentional.

Dead Space 3 looks to be good, i hope i am not disappointed. The straight port from console though is disappointing, but i believe the other 2 were the same thing.

From Dos to Windows 7, a lot of upgrading in those years.

Hey Wezza, would it kill you to take the time to make your posts actually readable? Because I feel like you're trying to kill my brain cells.
