Which one scared you more? Dead Space 1 or 2? And which parts scared you the most. :)
I have been hearing that Dead Space 3 wasn't that scary, so I just want to hear what people have to say about the "scary ones". I personally got scared worse by the Fear 2 demo ( It was the first demo or game make me literally : get goosebumps, a chill down my spine, hair stand on end ,and make my skin crawl.) sorry.
I like the Dead Space series better though. But I will say Dead Space 2 is scaring me abit now since I am playing on Zealot.

Dead Space 1 for scariness. Dead Space 2 for fun.

Deads Space one has it's moment's Dead space 2 had more of a jump out of the wall kick but lots more fun

I prefered the first. The second relies too much on enemies jumping right in front of you. I prefer when the game builds slowly the tension :)

For me personally the only time Dead Space 1 gave me true terror, was when you first ran into the hunter for the 2nd time. (You know when you're stuck in the room with the bunks you had to move to get away.) But neither one scared me so much I almost wet my pants.

Dead Space 2 was scary at the beginning but then it becomes quite predictable, plus you often had enough bullets to defeat the next wave of necromorphs so :/ although the bit where you're in a corridor and suddenly this huge tentacle comes out from round the corner to pull you made me jump a little x) And now i just have to play Dead Space 3, which BTW doesnt look that scary either :/

Yeah, I agree that it won't be as scary as the first 2 but i am still going to get it because I think it will be a blast to play.

I thought DS1 was quite a bit scarier. It focuses on the atmosphere, the ambient noises, the shadows and dynamic lighting, and on building tension. DS2 felt much less claustrophobic and Isaac wasn't nearly as alone as he was in DS1.

I really loved the 1st game, it's a 10/10 in my book. The second game, while still great, tended to lean a little more towards action than the 1st game. DS3 looks a lot more action-oriented with a lot less atmospheric horror.

It just goes to show that EA will make unnecessary changes to already-successful franchises to make a little more cash. I recommend Amnesia: The Dark Descent to anyone who loves true horror from a company that actually cares about its IPs in more than just a monetary sense.

DS1 probably made me jump the most but the only time it succeeded in doing so was that DAMN WORKBENCH SCARE.

As for me I find Dead Space 2 pretty similar to Dead Space 1. When I read about more action and less horror in it, I supposed that it will be something noticeably different than first game. How glad I was when I realised that it is not quite true. Unfortunately this is not the case with Dead Space 3...

Nice comment. But, um, a little off topic people. -_-

To be honest, dead space 2 was more rage inducing than scary dead space 1 made me feel like, HOLY %@!^% WTF WAS THAT OH MY @Y#&KING GOD AAAAAAAAAH. Hydroponics anyone?
But yeah in dead space 2 i got so♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥off, i REALLY wanted the handcannon so badly, i at least managed to reach ch13 but even then i had to kill more enhanced mudder fuggers. But i didn't rage all that hard as i had some super sexy upgrades by then, so i was "Cool" with it.
Theres also the fact that in dead space 1, you couldn't turn all that fast so you were like HOLY♥♥♥♥♥♥OMG COME ON AAAAAAAH! At times i actually RAN away from a 3/4th dead necromorph, and even then i screamed like a little girl when a body was floating in front of me zero-G thinking it was a necromorph. In dead space 2 there was just too much necromorphs however.
