In the 3 years Following the events of Dead Space, and Issac's encounter with the Necromorph on the USG Ishimura, Isaac finds himself in the medican facility of a civilian space station surrounding Titan. Repeatedly questioned, Isaac awakens in a straight-jacket as an apparent Necromorph outbreak begins to take over The Sprawl. Jumping right back into the action seat, Dead Space 2 picks up literally with the heart pounding, fast paced action of the original, leaving us to wonder, will Isaac be able to cheat death a second time?
Dead Space 2 looks as good if not slightly better than the original. From the beginning sequences we see some of the familiar Necromorph from the first Dead Space; However, if I know games, I'll put money on new and even more terrifying Necromorph in store for Isaac later on. If you haven't played the first Dead Space, that's alright. Dead Space 2 has a feature to allow new players to the franchise access to a video recap, complete with narration, of the events of the original Dead Space on the USG Ishimura. For the full experience, I recommend playing in the dark, in a quiet part of the house, at night with the sound up. If you love action-packed, sci-fi, horror thrillers, this is right up your alley.
