I will make a review with neggative and positive items so every reader can make his own opinion.
Firstly, we have to keep in mind that his game is a Free To Play so you will find a cash-shop that every F2P game have. This cash-shop gives a significative advantage: 1.- Premium token (you can move buildings, auto trade, auto scout, auto attack IA, auto recruit, give resources, troops or monks to a player that shares your IP, a global view of your villages) & 2.- Card packs (militarly, production, with different lvls with differents cost). With premium token you can have a proper manage of everything (I use premium only for buildings, auto recruit and global view of villages) but I don't spend money at card-pack because are expensive.
Card-Packs are used to make insta-armies, insta villages, insta resources, insta everything (even castle defences, reserachs, rank,...) When a player takes a lot of time to reach Crown Prince, there is a heavy carder that ranks to crown prince with full villages full armies full research and everything in a few days. I can talk more about this theme but there is a better choice than keep reading me: Go to stronghold kingdoms and enjoy reading all types of cards.
So, there is nothing more to add about pay-theme. However, there is a topic that a lot of people don't like: How Staff manages the multi-accounting/sharing IP (not the same as multi-accounting)/etc. I have met a lot of friends in real life that got banned just because they shared IP a few times (House-LAN-party, for example) so FireFly starts to follow you. In case you get again the conflict of IP-Sharing, they start to ban you (24, 48h, 72h,...until it reachs to perma-ban). In my opinion, there is no way (at least have 100% prove) that one player has multi-accounted. And not all multi-accounting players are banned because one friend got bored from this game and he create intentionally 5 accounts to farm FP and makes a mess in different servers. He claimed that he was multi-accounting and ask FireFly to ban him, however, he did not got ban (at least perma ban).
In my opinion, that is all about what I dislike of FireFly. There are other things as the number of worlds, or how FireFly organizes different stuff...but I don't think that is relevant. About the positive stuff I can clearly say that there is a big bunch of them:
We can start with the experience of every MMO: It's a massive game online where you share experiences with other players & compete each other in order to be at first place and satisfy your Ego (normally, there are players that have different objectives). This game doesn't make you play only for the main goal (win era), you can make your own objectives (of course, with no monetary prize) like being the most farmer, most fighter, most diplomatic, most roler (I have found different groups that roled in SHK: Extremist religious people, pacifist people who like to feed players, ...).
In addition, SHK have plenty tones of features as research tree (It gives you a lot of strategies and different ways to grow), castle design (is the only game about strategy and mmo that let's you design your own castle), armies design (mix the number of troops and how to send them), village layouts, strategy to produce, divide work & be better than others, etc...
In conclusion, I don't recommend this game because his creepy-staff & high use of Cash-shop to finance his project and disbalance the game. They have improved a lot since Alpha but they have to improve a lot more if they want to increase their population. I want to keep clear that this profile only have 10 hrs because I use the stand-alone version of SHK.
