Stronghold 3 failing to start or launch fix for Windows 10(64-bit)

I copied and pasted the Stronghold3.exe which made a Stronghold3 - Copy. exe executable then clicked run on the copy and it worked!

Note: this fix will not work through steam. only through the 'Stronghold3 - Copy.exe' in the file/folder "win32_release" or through the shortcut IF you made for 'Stronghold3 - Copy.exe' and pasted it to your desktop.

go to steam,

then library,

right-click stronghold 3,

then click properties(window will po-up),

click on local files tab, (new window should pop=up) with files/folders: assets, bin, resources, and a text file named "installscript.vdf"

click and open file/folder named "bin",

then click and open file/folder "win32_release",

then left click & copy the "Stronghold3.exe" executable and paste with in the "win32_release"
folder creating a "Stronghold3 - Copy.exe".

Note: at this point the game is fixed. to run and play the game YOU MUST RUN THE COPY! basically left click on "Stronghold3 - Copy.exe"

To create a shortcut:

right click on "Stronghold3 - Copy.exe" and create a shortcut to desktop
OR create a shortcut then click & drag to your desktop
the "Stronghold3 - Copy.exe - Shortcut" that will be created in the "win32_release" folder

at this point the game is fixed. to run and play the game YOU MUST RUN THE COPY(Stronghold3 - Copy.exe) or click on the new shortcut that was created in the desktop (Stronghold3 - Copy.exe - Shortcut).

Ik heb de Stronghold3.exe gekopieerd en geplakt die een Stronghold3 - Copy maakte. Exe uitvoerbaar dan klikte op de kopie draaien en het werkte!

Opmerking: deze oplossing werkt niet door stoom. Alleen via de 'Stronghold3 - Copy.exe' in het bestand / folder 'win32_release' of via de snelkoppeling, als u voor 'Stronghold3 - Copy.exe' hebt gemaakt en op het bureaublad geplakt.

Ga naar stoom,

Dan bibliotheek,

Klik met de rechtermuisknop op bol 3,

Klik vervolgens op eigenschappen (het venster wordt opgevangen),

Klik op het tabblad lokale bestanden (nieuw venster moet pop = up) met bestanden / mappen: activa, bin, bronnen en een tekstbestand genaamd "installscript.vdf"

Klik en open bestand / map genaamd "bin",

Klik dan op en open bestand / map "win32_release",

Klik vervolgens op & kopieer het "Stronghold3.exe" executable en plak deze in de "win32_release"
Map creëren van een "Stronghold3 - Copy.exe".

Opmerking: op dit punt is het spel opgelost. Om het spel te draaien en te spelen moet je de kopie draaien! In principe links klikken op "Stronghold3 - Copy.exe"

Een snelkoppeling maken:

Klik met de rechtermuisknop op "Stronghold3 - Copy.exe" en maak een snelkoppeling naar het bureaublad
OF maak een snelkoppeling en klik vervolgens op & sleep naar je bureaublad
De "Stronghold3 - Copy.exe - Shortcut" die in de map "win32_release" wordt gemaakt

Op dit punt is het spel opgelost. Om het spel te draaien en te spelen, moet u de kopie draaien (Stronghold3 - Copy.exe) of klik op de nieuwe snelkoppeling die op het bureaublad is gemaakt (Stronghold3 - Copy.exe - Shortcut).
