Does this game support 360 Controller "Out of the Box" ?

Only for walking/looking, can't perform any attacks or actions with it. I had to use xpadder to play this with a 360 pad.

Looks a M/K jobby for me I got fed up- trying to map controls to controller, as its on xbox it should be easy but its hell..so m/k as its more hassle to map buttons then its worth and I aint paying for 3rd party programs....

was this ever updated since it had controller support, this was a console game. I own it but wanna know if they ever bothered fixing that on pc?

I was going to buy this but I wanted to check this out first, this was the second game I played on my 360 over 7 years ago and it's still one of my favorite 360 games ever. Maybe they'll add it to the free Games for Gold on Xbox Live at some point. It sucks they never added controller support to this.

I bought this, and played through it on the xbox back when it came out, so naturally I assumed it worked fine on the pc with a controller. Turns out that's not the case.
Instantly regret buying it for the pc now.

I'll go ahead and take this statement back. I'm in chapter 8 now, and it's completely fine without a controller. Mouse and keyboard works perfectly (my fear was that it wouldn't).

Mouse and Keyboard should work fine for everyone. The controls work really great, with no mouse acceleration and simple keyboard controls. Really helps with keeping environmental awareness as well as making good precision shots with the guns. Remember, these are the same guys who developed FEAR, and that worked brilliantly. You can really see the shared assets amongst the two games.

that sucks glad i looked in the forums since it said in the description no controller support.. i want to play this on my 40 inch tv through my computer and i cant do that with mouse and keyboard, and my 23 inch 720p hdtv is what i use as this pc's monitor. im sure it plays fine with keyboard but i want a better couche experience, this game instantly gets better with surround sound and big tv, which i cant do without full on controller support.

all works. just bind buttons of your controller in controls menu not only in gamepad menu. try to be mo clever .

My problem is that i can't seem to bind the mouse buttons (fire&block) to the left and right triggers. Anyone having the same problem?

I don't like K&M controls and don't care to get used to using them so no it doesn't work fine for everyone.
