How to make the camera control like Myst III and Myst IV?

You know, with the pointer in the middle and moving that moves the camera. I hate having to move my pointer to the sides of the screen to get the camera to move.

Plus, I kind of want to look directly at what I'm pointing at. It's kind of annoying otherwise.

What I'm talking about is like making the camera control like Myst III and Myst IV's free-look camera. If I can't get the camera to control like that, I probably won't be able to stand playing anymore. I mean, the story's boring enough, but I could bear with it if it wasn't for the camera controls.

i don't believe this game has an option like that. no offense either but pretty bad reasons to not play a game. this game is actually good and maybe this story is just to mature for you /over your head and thats why it's boring. alot of people don't like to read books for that reason, but the story is actually quite good and very deep. especially when you start to get into the still life games.

i mean hey good luck to you with w/e you do but i'd say still play it there are people who can't even experience the game because like windows issues or compatibility issues etc now that is a legit reason. both your reasons to me are just poor reasons to not play such a game.

I remember back when there were no pcs etc n controls were worse than this. hey again good luck i hope you find a way then to just change the cameras or w/e but it's really not that big a deal i'm a myst vet myself and i played threw this game no prob but hey your $.

I just know me, personally, i at least aim to win/make the best out of games i buy no matter how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ they are etc or poor controls or w/e the case may be.

also this community is pretty dead so i'd say try to google what you are looking for it'd be more help then here. as for me like i said i don't believe there is a way to do that in this game i've been in the options screen and never seen anything that let's you do so etc and i've seen people play this game, like other people and never have i seen the camera type you are talking about in this game. perhaps a mod of somesort is out there? again best bets would be google mate. cheers

I googled it before I came here, but if I google anything about the game except for where to purchase it, I get totally unrelated results.

I read a lot, actually. I've read the entirety of Lord of the Rings and I'm going through Stephen King's It right now. I've read all of the interesting books in the local library.

I rarely get bored with games in the way I did with Post Mortem. The premise is great, but I just don't really like the game. I would try to get through, it's just that the camera annoys me so much. Sure, that's not really a deal breaker on its own, but it IS a deal breaker when you also couple it with the fact that I don't want to talk to the people in this game because having people to talk to past the intro, ending, and vital cutscenes in a game like this...even having to talk back, really...it's really stupid and annoying.

The story may very well be deep and interesting, but I can't enjoy it if the actual game isn't fun (trust me. I love Battletoads to death but if you ever make me play it so help you I will not restrain myself from cutting your tongue out and then stabbing you to death as soon as I touch the controller). And controlling the camera like that is detracting from the experience. Badly.

I don't even know why I have this game. I was trading SS2 to a friend and they gave me an X-Blades key. I redeemed it and it told me it was for X-Blades, then it went and installed Post Mortem.
