How do you get out of the prison?

After you open all the cells and rescue the sherrif, how on earth do you get back out of the prison? The gate to the little outhouse area is closed and every door I try is locked. Is there a set of keys hiding somewhere or something?

Continue to the ''house'' nearest the starting point. (The house where you find the shotgun!)
A door that was locked on the other side can be opened from the side you are now.

I ended up going back around. Luckily the characters can interact with things through fences, so I just had him open the gate backup and backtrack to the exit.

Yeah, that was my first plan, until i realised the doctor couldnt backtrack thosse damn stairs...so i checked all doors one of those was unlocked from my side XD

Oh yeah. Haha. I got him stuck and had to reload. I tend to plonk him down somewhere safe and then go forward with jacket guy all sneaky like.

I am in the house has shotgun in it.

I am stuck here as well, These doors are LOCKED from both sides. It is funny that the invalid can't get up the stairs, but why can't I blow the locks with a gun? I even tried getting attacked and bleeding on the other side of the door to agro the zombies to break it down, but they just grunted at me.
