Game crashing upon new game load

The game is crashing to desktop once the loading bar is completed after selecting a new game. I've tried all the usual methods of verify cache, disable steam in-game community, manual directx install, redownloading/installing and added a dll file someone suggested and nothing has worked so far. Anyone any suggestions?

The game is very buggy. But, have you tried setting the game to run in a different Windows compatibility mode?
