Syberia was absolutely fantastic. It's sequel Syberia II was much less so, but still worth playing. There were a lot fewer of the amazing Voralberg automata in the series, and it relied more on generic puzzles and other contraptions, particularly those of Youkol construction. Where it went off the rails was introducing a lot of unnecessary antagonists. There is plenty of room for drama in the existing conflict between the desire for preserved nature, the beauty and artistry of clockwork automata that mimic that nature, and the modern world. The handling of the antagonists, both the <spoiler>patriarch</spoiler> and the <spoiler>Bourgoff brothers</spoiler> felt extremely overdone and took much away from the pleasure that was present in the first game. The true enemy in these games has always been time. <spoiler>And then we have the scene with the emperor penguins, in the arctic, which makes absolutely no sense</spoiler> All in all, if you enjoyed the first game, you will probably enjoy this one as well, just not nearly as much. Solid 7/10.

Pretty good sequel of the first game. Sometimes the dialog got cut due to it being an old game, but it runs fine in my computer.

This is essentially an extension of Syberia 1, so the same flaws from the first game carry into this game too:
-Still a giant scavenger hunt: Lots of wandering around trying to find esoteric triggers to advance the game.
-Some of the areas you need to click on to investigate further are hard to distinguish from the background.

Otherwise there are some improvements as well:
+The world has more people and doesn't feel quite so empty anymore.
+It doesn't seem like you need to go back and forth across multiple screens quite as much as you did in the first game (so a little more respect for your time).
+Voice acting still very well done.
