Syberia is the kind of game that gave me a nostalgic feeling even though I never played it until now. Perhaps becuse its style is so similar to The Longest Journey.
The game follows Kate Walked, a lawyer, who tries to find an heir to a company for him to sign some papers. Turns out that is harder than expected and point&click puzzles follow. You get to know the characters through clues and phone calls and you do care about the story as you play.
I really enjoyed the steampunk-world of Syberia. This game should be played with a guide available as some of the puzzle seem far-fetched.
Do note this is game 1 of 2 and does not have a 'proper' ending. Must be played paired with the 2nd game for full experience.
Because of its dated-ness it might not be worth buying at full price. Buy it when the bundle of the 2 games is on sale.
However dated the graphics are the sound effects, music and voice acting were all really good and sets a good atmosphere and mood for the game. If you like The Longest Journey, you'll like this and vice versa.
