Awesome! It makes me happy that games like this get recognition. I like shooting stuff up as much as the next person, but sometimes you just want an awesome story. Syberia delivers.

I just bought the bundle myself. I've heard of the series a long time ago and always wanted to give it a try, but never got around to it. I really miss these type of pre rendered background and fixed camera positioning, like the original Resident Evils. It makes for a unique and memorable experience

At the sale price offered for both couldn't refuse :)
Will make a nice change of pace from shooting things in the face for a while, just hope the puzzles aren't too obscure.

They are not too bad. There are a couple that are a little difficult but, there are only so many combos to try so its not that bad. Since you are used to shooting things, the pacing of this game is also going to be a lot different.

Thanks, got to say I'm out of touch - puzzles seem to be a bit odd and I generally resort to pixel hunting.
It may not help that because of the age of the game I'm running it in a 4.3 window at 800x600 looks tiny on my screen and I still have the windows cursor as well as the game one that tends to cover up the in game cursor.
The joys of old games and modern machines I guess.
Atmosphere and backdrops are stunning though!

Glad you are enjoying it, despite its age. I normally play adventure point and click so you kind of get a groove for it the more you play them.

Quick question. I saw in another thread a fellow having a dialogue bug that he fixed
via installing a patch found I think on the devs site or a repository. Does Steam NOT keep
this game auto updated with all the latest patches or all that had been produced for this series?
Or do I have to go out looking for a series of dialog and bug patches on my own ?
EDIT .. the thread indicated that this fellow was a recent installer as of June 28th so .... not
a old reference.

Being a fan of Steam installs I'd rather not have to go hunting....
