It's by far not the worst game on Steam. I actually enjoy this title.
Grotesque Tatics is really fun :D sooo many easter eggs and refferences (South Park, 300, Oblivion, Lord of the Rings, Zelda and so on) if you want a funny RPG and don't want to think much what to do now - it offers a "magical camera" which interacts with the char you have to talk to (funny made, too btw)
The humor made it worthwhile for me to go through, but it is far from a great game. The sequel isn't bad either, but I only recommend it to people who are a fan of RPG's and some RPG humor.
Very odd, i have a high end rig and no problems at all running the game, nor have i had any crashes or bugs that other people are speaking of.
Did you check the settings on the launcher, you have a ton of video settings there to play around with if the settings you have on now is troubling your computer for some reason.
The humor.
Next challenge?
The worst game ever made is Ride to Hell: Retribution, even bad rats is better. Grotesque tactics is a clearly much better game than any of those. it even shows on the sales figures and made it so these wonderful developers could create two more games in the grotesque series.
This game is working fine on my higher end machine and its hilarious game to boot, but that does not mean that this is a game for everyone. It does not take itself seriously and it never tries to hide this fact, the battles are fun and yes, there may be a glitch or two (as most games) but i have certainly not found one yet, not even a crash.
Its (in my humble semi-divine opinion) a good game in the tactics genre and if one liked games such as disgaea, final fantasy tactics or Phantom brave they might like this game, albeit it has alot smaller budget. As long as one does not expect a super serious story and keep in mind that its a humourous game wich does not take itself seriously one should be fine, it also helps if you do like turn based combat, either way, the combat is quite satisfying. Again, these are all just my opinions, it might not be the best game ever made, but its also not the worst and very worth the time and the small amount of coin it costs.
Try Ride to Hell and then you'll see a game thats bad, i mean really bad, this game is not one of them and calling it the worst game is just idiocy.
(For all grammar nazis out there, english is not my native language so i apologize in advance if i mispelled or just worded stuff wrong)
Don't worry about it. Your post was well-formulated and had some good points.
Thanks, also just noticed that Whydie? has put in a total of 0.3 hrs on grotesque, so he did not even finish the tutorial. The bugs he supposedly came across must've stemmed from his own computer or inability to tweak this game's graphics setting.
I know some people have had problems with Grotesque but in this case im suspecting hardware issues rather than issues within the game itself, most people do not suffer these "game breaking" bugs.
