changing equipment

am i missing something? i have been playing this and it seems that outside of combat you can only look at Drake's equipment. if I want to change anyone elses equipment and compare stats i have to wait until i get into a combat and its their turn. am i doing something wrong? is there a way t look at the other characters stats without having to wait for their turn in combat?

The portrait in the lower right of the inventory has arrows to switch characters when you're in town. You might be able to use it out of combat too, I've never bothered -- but you can definitely do it while messing around in town.

ya found that out as well and ya only can change equiptment while in combat on the player you are on as well.
