Despite it has potential, there are so many things wrong with it. For example:
_Nice graphics (for an indie title), but very dark, ugly environment, boring landscape and crappy unoptimised engine.
_Nice attempt at combining hack and slash rpg with action, but very poor execution. Dungeon Siege 3 did a ton better at this, and even DS III was lukewarm received.
_Horrible camera control.
_Boring loot table.
_Lack of variety.
_Poor balance.

Its not a bad game per say, just a very mediocre one. It's the kind you dive into when you really have nothing else to play and considering the strong competition in the genre (Diablo series, Titan Quest, Darkspore, Torchlight, Dungeon Siege series) you are better off playing those first before spending money on this one. With that said, however, I did enjoy my time with the game although I found the last boss extremely infuriating (10-15 minute boss fights are not fun in my books).

IMO both Harbinger (sci-fi hack and slash) and Shadowground (top down shooter with RPG elements) are better than this (higher metacritic score too).

The game looks nice but the controls are terrible so I stopped playing within a few minutes. You need to move out of the way of things but you find yourself fighting the controls rather than your enemies.

I had feeling like "I'm playing prologue" until very end. I thought there will be more different enemies, weapons, other loot. etc... but when giant insect had died the game had ended.

The game has very strange skill tree. I had used only two skills:
  • One that is draining energy instead shield/health.
  • Second that is shoots with little black holes.
That's it. Armors and weapons almost aren't needed.

I also hate few places. For example there is room where a lot of "saw blades" and you must run through it while not touching any of them. It's absolutely unnecessary thing.

36 minutes of gameplay?

I see it has potential but I stoped playing it because of awful moving controls. I think you'd better go with Shadowgrounds: Survivor that I thoroughly enjoyed.
That said, I really hope they make Greed 2, with experience they got on the first one and some community feedback it's bound to be good.

I concur with all above & the devs were/are aware but never bothered to implement ANY suggestions to help make it a more popular title. A shame that, half measures (or none at all...) avail us nothing (at all)...

yea controls for me too... That, and the fact that the game feels very poorly optimized. I get really bad lag at the absolute lowest settings with a pretty decent rig. So yea, good concept, terrible execution.

The controls are bad, the game doesn't run well even on a modern PC, and the monsters are all buckets of HP with the bosses taking the cake, but my real complaint is that the game ends right as the story actually begins. You'll be playing along like normal, and then suddenly you get a cinematic showing that the game is actually going to get awesome...and the credits roll. End of game. Feel free to restart on Hard mode, where the monsters have even more HP.

My first impression when stepping in is feeling like the camera reels around like a drunken sailor, I also agree that this isn't optimized very well.

This game is so underwhelming!

bought it for 50 cents downloading now, i'll see how it goes
To be honest, the games' base (engine, combat functions, etc.) are okay, but the gameplay feels too raw. I played for an hour now and it feels like I'm still in the tutorial level? Not sure, the pacing is a little confusing.

The combat and the same soundtrack playing for the entire duration over and over within the level combine to a somewhat monotonous experience. That said, I have seen far far worse from other developers.

I think, this games' problem is that it just isn't very remarkable in any way. It's not exceptionally good or bad. It's not exciting nor controverse nor deep nor does it provide an interesting story. The game is just kind of existing and it has nothing unique going for it except for the art style. An okay time waster, but it won't be remembered by anyone once they're through it. For 50 cent an okay deal, though.

Horrendous control, boring design, pathetic loot table (4 hours in I've found 1 type of weapon, zero helmets and 3 types of armor), annoying enemies (weakest mobster takes about 4 hits to kill, the average one needs 10-15), instadeath traps that take precision control to avoid (which is nigh impossible with the controls system here) and all of this combined with a checkpoint system, so that you either risk loosing your progress, or yill do a lot of backtracking to save points. Generally speaking, aside of the controls, the game is not horribly broken or anything, it's just boring and offers absolutely nothing worthwhile.
