This game is not stable
%90 of people suffer from low fps problems. Read battlefront, 1cpublishing and steam forums, metacritic user reviews etc. so you can save your money for something actually works. I tried everything on the internet to solve this but none of them are working. (including Process Lasso)

i have the same problem. I own basic ToW and this one and both suffers the same issue like if I would have some very old CPU and I cannot play. No patches/drivers helped so I can only watch the box

I find it helps to lower your cpu speed a bit, I only have an i3 laptop and I created a power profile in control panel and set maximum CPU to 85% (minimum 30%) as at 100% I found after a short while my cpu was hitting 85c+ and a lot of games start stuttering over that, but at 85% it only goes to about 75c and the game runs really smooth as does Kursk (and world of tanks for that matter). Sounds strange but it does make quite a difference for me :-)
<edit>
Ran some tests today generating massive scenario's with a lot of units around villages as well and it played smoothly with no problems at all, played a campaign and it struggled in places so wondering if its trying to do something different in campaigns :/
