USF4 is the latest version of SF4.
Yeah, capcom ♥♥♥♥ed you with 4 or 5 version of the same game, maybe you wasted a lot of money, we can say 20-50 usd per version with little upgrades or more characters.
But do u know what? if i would support a fighting game throwing my money, that one is STREET FIGHTER.
Have you seen the Tournaments of Street fighter?, they are amazing!, super hyped because already exist a global competition, Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapur, USA, Canada, Brasil, UK, France, Italy, Spain already has professional players that fly around the world to play in the tournaments.
This game is a really simple fighting game, there is not to many variation of what you can do or make, But that's why this is so popular!, you just not need a good execution to do combos or do the same thing over and over. you need change, need techniques, you need reactions. A simple game always goes more than his simple mechanics, that is the moment when you realize it, this is not a simple fighting game, this is not easy, this is so hard if you want to play the game in a high level skill. Because a high level skill is not about to do the largest combo, is about to know what your enemy is going to do. So basicaly if the game is simple, easy to do combos and the options that you can do or make, that actually mean that everyone could do what the mechanics let you to do because they are really simple. Then the important is not about to be good with your controller pad or arcade stick, the important is about to read your opponent: in what he is good, in what he is not, what he is blocking, what he does not block, what are the advantage of your character against the opponent's character, what are his common reactions, what are his common reversals or counter hits, when he is going to do a special move, when he is not going to a special move (DP). Do you understand? skills is the basic that everyone can do, this game is a mental game like every martial arts, just a electronic one because we are fat people that does not do anything else than going to work, make money and buy food to eat and living a pasive life sitting in our chair.
btw, that's does not apply at all in online because you can't see your opponent, maybe you can predict some moves or understand some of his patterns. but the mental game is limited. actually online is about skills + your adaptation to the lag, offline is about the mental game.
right now (03 of july 2015) does have a decent netcode.
EDIT: added the last setences about the netcode.
