Dear Summer Gandhis:

I have lately noticed a healthy increase of players entering the online rings... granted, summer has come, and with it a burning desire to play some Street Fighter IV. Fine! be like that! 'Tis the season I guess...

Although I kind of enjoy racking them points for free, as I hope you enjoy getting blown up, I just hope this doesn't scare you away from the Street Fighter. It is hard yes, it takes dedication and stuff. I am not that good myself. But you know what makes it harder? Choosing characters like Gen, Juri or Adon as your main!!!! These are not begginer characters, they are execution heavy and show no fundamentals.

Be like Gandhi! Choose Ryu and start Winning!

I don't understand the connection between Ryu and Ghandi.

Also, play what you like. Better players than me tell me you will never make it far if you don't enjoy the character you play on a fundamental level, even if it's hard. Some paths are harder than others, but that doesn't mean choosing the easiest path is always the correct choice. The object of fighting games is to have fun and to improve yourself. If you choose the path that gives you wins but you aren't having fun OR improving yourself then it will only lead to failure.

Now that I think about it that's probably something Ryu would say about it.

I've been playing Street Fighter for quite some time but for the first time today I decided to play online. In 20 matches I maybe won 3. Then I met a guy who was exactly on my level, each match we fought was extremely close so we added eachother and played Endless for 2 hours, trying all sorts of characters. Good times!

Also those 17 matches I lost, I didn't find myself getting salty even once. I just laughed at how badly I was destroyed, tried to think about where I went wrong and moved on. Fun times!

I have a winrate of 90%+ with all my Charakter(ok this are only 2 by the time)against Adon.Adon will jump,he will do his Walljump.I just wait and punish the hell out of them.
You can ever say what Adon will do next,Player see often only 2 Options Jumping or made Specials.
Since when do you need spacing with Adon when his Wallkick goes over the hole Screen?His DP is high punishable like very DP,his Divekick(if you can call this a Divekick,looks more like an overhead Flip)is safe if he uses the ground Version.The Air Verion is punishabel.I talk here about on block.

Adon is a rushdown/divekick character, which translates to pressing lots of buttons and perfectly timed setups. The fact you haven't found a decent one leads me into thinking he's hard to play well.

I really like that new players keep coming. Why does Capcom match me up against them when I clearly chose "More Skilled" is beyond me, but it's better than nothing. I just wish that people understood that Street Fighter IV deserves as much respect and dedication as any other game. The deeper you go the more fun it becomes. Don't just come for the summer holidays, stick around... there are fields of sodium all year long!

Apart from his uppercut, he has no special moves that you can't react to if you're watching for them. And even if you don't react to them and just block, he's the one at a disadvantage. His jaguar kick is -2 on hit and -3 on block (which is punishable with many jabs, uppercuts, or throws). It's not a good idea for adon players to overuse it since they'll always be at a disadvantage whether it hits, whiffs, or is blocked. The move where he jumps off the wall is easy to see coming and he can easily be hit out of it with no risk if you use an antiair with fast recovery. If you block it, it's at a disadvantage. Especially the ex version. Adon is only an easy character if you play against people who don't know what to do against him.
