no worries guys, the fix is simple
go to start menu, type in the search bar ''sound'' (without '') select sound (just under control panel) then right click on your default playback device, select properties, then the advanced tab. and make sure its set no higher then 24 bit, 48000 Hz (studio quality) , hit apply and ok, and try booting the game up again should work :) hope that helps, add me if you still cant get it running and ill try and help

Thanks Seggzy!

You can find the GFWL install file in, steamapps\common\Dead Rising 2\GFWL

I've uninstalled and reinstalled this dozens of times. It keeps on saying there is a corrupt file with GFWL, which is crap because I was JUST playing Dawn of War 2.
