So once GFWL goes bye bye, this game becomes unplayable?
i hope they know that thousands of pirates will be born as soon as this happens

Dead Rising 2 uses GFWL ZDPP which means the game has to be activated everytime you install it before you're allowed to launch it. So unless Capcom migrates the game to Steamworks (they could just remove GFWL but the game is kind of pointless to most people without the ability to play the game in co-op) then the game will become a virtual paperweight once GFWL is shutdown.

It is possible that Capcom will remove GFWL from their games (and hopefully migrate them to another service such as Steamworks) but judging by the latest articles about GFWL removal from games Capcom appears to have 'No plans' to patch anything except SSFIV:AE. Yes, it's disgraceful but it doesn't appear that people are doing much to try and change Capcom's mind about it.

Can't believe they still haven't removed GFWL. I refuse to buy any other Capcom games until they remove that useless nonsense from DR2, ridiculously poor support of their own games.

In the end I think if they DON'T remove GFWL this hopfully will end in litigation.

Hello. I have the pirated version of the game (feel free to flame/judge me for it, blabla) and tried making it multiplayer-accesable wich ofcourse isn't possible because of the whole GFWL story.
Now i'm fine with buying this game because.. well I love the game.. but I will only do it if it would enable me to play with a friend of mine. Then i'll buy a copy for me and him, support the devs and everybody will be happy right?

Anyway can someone please tell me wether they are able to play the game currently with Co-op enabled and how long will it be possible to play with the whole GFWL fiasco going on?
And is it, relatively, easy to setup co-op through steam?

Thanks in advance.
