Is there any way to disable vibration?
I'm playing with a 360 pad, and I absolutely cannot find any way to disable the vibrating that happens whenever you get hit in-game. I don't mind it being in there for those who want it, but I personally find it very distracting, and have never played a game where there wasn't an option to turn it off. Even the instructions don't mention it. Any help would be appreciated.

I understand your pain, went through the exact same thing myself. The vibration didn't bother me when the pad was in my hands, it was when I left it on top of my pc or wherever and playing a game with keyboard and mouse. It would start rattling all over the place and making a right old racket...

But I'm not just here to waffle, and I know your post is quite old (hoping you still see this though).

I know how to fix it (don't worry it's a really easy job that shouldn't take more than 5 minutes). You need a screw driver.

1. Take the screws out of the bottom of the pad, then prise the bottom and top sections apart (putting light pressure on the thumbsticks/dpad etc can help).

2. Inside you'll see both the vibration motors, they simply unplug from the pcb. Little white plugs, you might find it easier with needle nose pliers, I just used my thumnail.

3. Put the motors on a shelf/in a box/in the bin (I use mine as paperweights when I can remember where they are).

4. Put the controller back together making sure all the buttons are in the right place (probably the fiddliest bit), if everything is lined up properly it will just click together when you squeeze it.

5. Put the screws back in. Never be bothered by the vibration again.

:)
